Success Demands Only Three Things

We live with small and big aims and goals in our personal and professional life. Some of them are successfully achieved but some others are miserably unattained yet. Bravo to all your accomplished objectives. Because you have proven yourself to be a champion in the pursuit of getting that done. And, this discussion is to consider your unfinished targets. Because they need a detailed revaluation to understand and correct your mistakes in the past for your refreshed future with revived results.

When you try to understand your unaccomplished goals, you need to consider two aspects about them. The first one is the nature of your objective and the latter one is the nature of your effort. Some people set very impractical objectives in life; and, they tirelessly work for achieving them. Yet, their objectives remain unachieved even after their long span of try. Some others’ objectives are very practical in nature but they fail in putting their efforts in a systematic manner to yield expected results.

To check if your goals are practical, assess them with SMART parameters. As most of us already know, SMART stands for the acronym of Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely natures of a goal or objective. We all need to check our goals with the above five parameters to confirm if they are practically fit to pursue. When you are sure about the nature and quality of your objective based on the parameters, check the nature of your effort to find out the causes of your failure in your pursuit. A quality goal remains unattained, just because of the issues with the quality of your efforts.

Let us now consider the nature of an effort in its success or failure concerns. This analysis basically looks into the process of a program based on their result in the end. A successful effort is involved with three essential elements in its natural course. And, all the successful accomplishments, as I observed so far, have those three magical inevitable components of FOCUS, DISCIPLINE and LABOUR without any exception. Any sort of negligence in those three factors can adversely affect your process, and therefore, your results too.

If you want to succeed in any of your serious tasks or attempts, it is highly important to stay focused until you achieve them. We often find ourselves active and keen in setting up new goals one after another, but we fail to focus on any of them up to we actually get them accomplished. We tend to lose our focus either due to the decline of our spirit in chasing what we fixed for or due to the change of our track to something else from what we decided to.

The second component is more practical than the first. Because your focus is more of a mental exercise. Discipline is more of a practical step you take and continue to achieve your goal. Here, discipline means the amount and mode of sacrifices and adjustments you make in your life in accordance with the kind and quality of your objective. Each objective demands its own set of disciplines required to attract your desired results. You can not copy or imitate someone else's discipline to invite your result even if you both are trying for the same goal. Because, the environment, resources, skills and knowledge you possess cannot be the same as the other who is seemingly on the same journey. Still, you can get inspiration from your forerunners and use models of similar journeys to customize your discipline for your journey.

The third and the final one is the master key of your success in all your pursuits, and that is labour. Consistent hard work can translate any of your dreams into a reality. The single rule of labour to achieve something you wish is very simple, do it until you win, that's it. Often quitting enroute dejected and sometimes just before your destination disappointed are tragic blockages of your labour part in your pursuits. When labour gets harder, we tend to quit. On the contrary, what is ideal is to intensify your focus, discipline and labour all the more to make your success indomitable. At such junctures, losers generally resort to quitting their attempts or compromising with the quality of their dreams.

Now, it's time to check where you have stuck before reaching your destination of your journeys in the past or to consider what you have missed out in your master plan of your future goals.
