Think and Live Different from NOW

I sincerely wish you to be intelligent enough rather than being innocent, be practical enough rather than being spiritual and be scientific enough rather than being dogmatic. Yet, I wish you to balance between your emotion and reason, your fancy and reality, or your ideation and action. I explicitly mean that you are not required to sacrifice your happiness to make others happy, to reject your freedom to set others free, and to leave your opportunities to give others opportunities. And, this notion does not mean that you have to deny others’ from their happiness, to hinder others’ from their freedom or to grab others’ opportunities as well. Just take yours for yourself and give theirs for themselves. Ironically, the world is filled with and ruled by two major sects of people by development, not by default: selfless and selfish or givers and takers. But, what is real and required is good, pragmatic and genuine people.

We are basically taught and convinced either to be selfish or to be selfless in life based on our circumstances of upbringing.. And, those who are selflessly conditioned by their environment generally become selfless and those who are selfishly grown up become selfish to join their respective clans in this world. Here, I reject some exceptions of good deeds by selfish people and also bad deeds by selfless people as they are not genuinely or realistically done at all. Those exceptions of acts by both the categories happened intentionally driven by the given context. If the context doesn't demand they would not have done that intentionally. We can definitely trace out an unfair motive hidden behind both the acts when scrutinised. Yes, the good of a selfish person is for his helpful advantages and the bad of a selfless person is for his helpless situations. I simply mean that the intention of both the acts are not genuine or real. The selfish man did that seemingly good act without good intention and the selfless man did that seemingly bad act without his pure consent. Period.

Now, let us begin our discussion under the reality of life and the scenario of the world above we live in typically today. My experiences taught me a lot of life lessons and based on those learnings and understandings, I decided to take a different stance about living my life in this world regardless of what I am advised and expected by my surroundings. As I found that stance more real than what I am conditioned around and more genuine than what I was brought up with, I decided to get along with that in life ahead. And here is what I have for you with that. Yes, I am with a better way of living at least for me and for those who really know me and for those who genuinely want to enjoy what I am going through for the past few years from the moment I began to practice those realizations. Remember that this way of life is neither explicitly against what is around us nor vividly different for who is around us at a glance. It’s something just being different within us and around us without troubling even us and others. Sounding something funny and strange or something impossible and impractical, right? At the outset, you may feel so and that’s quite natural as we are not familiar with such a way of thinking and doing.

We directly go a little more into the concept. In this way of living, we are neither going to be selfish nor trying to be selfless. That's it. It’s not so natural for us as we are conditioned to look at such a position uncomfortably, as something not natural. For us, either being selfish or selfless is natural. But, in reality, we human beings are neither selfish nor selfless by nature. We are opportunistic by default; we are pragmatic by evolution; and, we are positivists by genetics. All selfish and selfless concerns we believe and behave are manmade manipulations necessarily fabricated by our elders and leaders of the past to control and reign us during the chaotic phase of our cognitive sophistication; and we still continue to follow them as they powerfully impacted upon us during such a long course time even after we are evolved up to shed those scales of cognitive bondage; and to rise above such conventional influences on our thoughts and actions. And now, keeping our society under the spell of those olden understanding is a conspiracy of the ruling class to maintain the ruled flock submissive and undisruptive against their supremacy under the pseudo banner of universal harmony for human coexistence in the manner they wish to maintain. As long as we continue to yield our understanding to their conspiracy and its influence they enjoy their rule over the mass comfortably. In order to control the massmind, they deploy religious beliefs, political ideologies, historic sentiments, communal feelings, and other dangerously malicious mind hacking elements prevalent in our social and cultural fabric for their unfair advantages and vested gains.

Remaining realistically informed and practically behaved is the counter move highly recommended for common man at this juncture of cognitive transition from the old to the new. We are positively exposed and provided with myriads of options and opportunities to get ourselves learned against our conventional past and to get ourselves revived appropriately to our enlightened present; and, to set ourselves free and happy beyond any conspiracies or agendas of any class or clan. But, getting too emotional and too rational are dangerous here as the human race is so vulnerable for a catastrophic end today. Emotional revolutions and rational movements are old fashioned for a solution to this modern problem of new age dimensions. Here, the right approach for us is to patiently watch and walk through this cognitive transition, being a forerunner by contributing to it or being a pioneer by promoting it. But how? Here comes our different way of living by thinking and doing the best way! Cool.

Bid bye to what we are educated and conditioned in order to welcome what is real and genuine now and here for life and time. Use your free will to discern what is right and what is wrong. Use your reason to understand what to do and what not to do. Use your emotions to feel what is good and what is bad. Use your eyes and ears to see and hear what is beautiful and what is ugly. Set aside what is written and what is spoken by the past to guide us to the future and give them only the waitage they truly deserve. Most of them are incapable of foreseeing the drastic shifts we make today; and they pull us back both rationally and emotionally by inflicting guilt and sorrow upon us. They hound us by spoiling our freedom and happiness we are entitled to enjoy today more than yesterday. Our brains and minds have already evolved enough to understand what is real and genuine for us now. Hence, trust them and follow them for your good and growth.

Go for ‘Selfish Goodness’! Explore your freedom until that does not curb others’ freedom. Enjoy your happiness until that does hurt others’ happiness. And then, make others free and happy along with you. You do not require to sacrifice your freedom and happiness to make others free and happy. Here, you become selfish and at the same time good too. You don't need to starve to feed the world. Fill your belly and feed your brethren. I find this approach fair and decent at least for today’s living. Remember that your selfishness must not curtail others’ rights of being selfish too. Be selfish only to keep yourself happy. Your selfishness must not cross the line of other’s rights. Your selfishness must not snatch what belongs to others, never forget that. What I reject here is nothing else but ‘Selfless Goodness’ we were taught to follow foolishly. When you sacrifice your food to starve with an intention of feeding someone else, you practically remain unhappy about not eating food and ideologically remain happy about feeding a hungry one; because we are traditionally taught to do so and to feel good about doing so even when you are starving. But, I suggest you feed others only after you are full. And, that does not suggest you enjoy overeating at all. Just be fair in selfishness. Sounds funny? But not, if you spend some time thinking about this way of doing in detail. You create enough resources to make yourself full and to feed those hungry around you. Isn't that Selfish Goodness greater than that olden way of Selfless Goodness?

As life and time change, we also need to make appropriate shifts in our stances on morals and ethics, to make our time here easy and smooth. For that, anything that demands you to accept dogmatic thinking and customary practising must deliberately be rejected; and embrace Selfish Goodness that proposes the ‘Single Reality’ of our existence and survival “HEALTHY HAPPY HARMONIOUS LIVING” for all. Don't look at life from any specific point of view, just look at that openly as that is. Then step into that life unbiased and live that life out as that unfolds before you. Look more at what is in front of you than at what is behind you. History is to refer not to follow. We often cling around our past until that suffocates us to let that go off from us. What we need to do is let our past go off us in each every moment we pass and liberate us for the future. Still , keep our past as a referral point for our present, but not for our future at all. The future needs the present references, not the past ones. Seems confusing, not really. Ha ha ha!

From the moment you begin to bother about yourself more than others, you actually start to live a real and genuine life. Set your health and happiness as your top most priority of living in this world. Remember that the happiness of your body is your health, and the health of your mind is your happiness. In fact, your existence and survival are centered around these two concerns, and everything else is next to them. They are the two sides of the same coin of your life. All these drastic changes will happen in your life only when you discard conventional thinking for which you are trained and designed by your past environment consisting of your family, community, culture and your religion; and only when you embrace realistic thinking that you learned and developed by your reflections on your experiences, observations, readings and your experiments. Here, you rely only on your conclusions and intuitions based on the facts you scientifically deployed for your comprehension of truth and reality against prejudices, orthodoxies, customs, morals, norms, rules fabricated by timeworn systems around you to control your thoughts and actions. At this magical moment, you declare your own true freedom from your caging influences of your past; and you spread your own wings to rise up to your liberating vistas of life. At this magical moment you begin to experience the real beauty of your being and living in this marvelous world. Yes, when you realise your ‘Selfish Goodness’, you commence to live your real self in today’s context of living. Don’t be so foolish to believe and live those so-called selfless aspects of life taught by your parents, teachers and leaders. Just start living your life on your own terms. As intelligent enough to realise your own selfish self, be smart enough to accommodate the rights of everyone’s selfish self too. Here, you have to abide by the ‘Single Rule’ of coexistence of everyone and everything in the universe: “IF YOU HARM NONE, DO WHATEVER YOU WISH”. Your selfishness should not harm others; and others’ selfishness should not harm yours too. Keep the Single Reality and the Single Rule in mind when you are living your Selfish Goodness in this world. That's it and it's cool.

When you realise your Selfish Goodness, you will feel light, simple, free and real in life. You will begin to look at everything around you from a very clear perspective. You will feel like you are confident, fearless, original and spontaneous in your attitudes and behaviours. You will experience a new life that is worry free and stressless. And, the most important transition is here: when you begin your selfish pursuit of your superior health and happiness, keeping that ‘single rule’ in mind, your selfish affairs will consequently contribute to the progress and prosperity of everyone and everything you associate with and even beyond. This wonderful aspect of your selfishness will amaze you with its effects on you and its results on others. The paradigm shift has actually happened in your mind through your perspective change from the ‘selfless goodness’ of the past to the ‘Selfish Goodness’ of the present (and to the future too).

Man is fundamentally selfish by nature, and it is genetically imprinted in him through the long course of his evolution. It’s something infused through millions of years and cannot easily be washed off from his character. It can only be tamed and harnessed intelligently appropriate to his time and space. That is why getting selflessly good is so strenuous and often futile even among the most sophisticated and civilised individuals and communities. And, even those deliberate practices are observed to be unwillfully and unhappily done due to contextual or societal norms and rules. That is exactly why we rely on rules and regulations of varied kinds to control this raw human self in public at large and in private as possible. Our new way of Selfish Goodness can play a vital role to make man more genuine and real, along with being more civilized and cultured than that of the olden way of selfless goodness. The advantage of this new selfish system is that it is not against the basic traits of human character, and hence, it is easy for him to follow. This new way, therefore, requires only a very few rules grounded on the ‘Single Rule’ of “if you harm none, do whatever you wish. As this new system is pro human nature, the incidents of violations in co-existent concerns can be minimal. Freedom of selfish self can miraculously contribute greater and faster to life and world. It will, thus, pave the way for the emergence of a new world order based on the new ‘Single Reality’ of “Healthy Happy Harmonious Living”.

Warning: when you practice your Selfish Goodness, your selfishness should not overshadow your goodness and your goodness should not overpower your selfishness. If the former happens you are unfit for coexistence; and if the latter happens you are unwise for competence in the game of survival. Being selfish is not about crossing that thin line to overuse, wastage or amassing of any resources; and not about crossing that line to greed, extravagance or indulgence in any opportunities. Because, that is the clear violation of the Single Rule by denying equally deserving rights of someone else from his Single Reality. At the same time being good is not about depriving your health and happiness or your freedom and opportunities for others. Because, that is the clear evidence of your negation of your rights and dignity or your wishes and esteem on unwise and unreal understandings of living by fooling yourself against your sincerity to the Single Reality of your Healthy Happy Harmonious Living. I leave you now with this for your reflections on all the above. Bye.
